Pecan House update

We have received tremendous amounts of incredible donations and we are humbled by your ability to give to our ladies that need a safe place to rest their heads.

The Pecan House is what we have named our first of many homes for our survivors.  We are having a house warming event at SouthPoint Church, 2010 W. Stateline Road, Southaven, Mississippi this Sunday August 30th directly following both services.

Service times are 9:00 to 10:00 and 10:45 to 11:45.

We have registered at Target under the first name 51south last name House.

We are also welcoming gift cards and monetary donations.  Credit card donations can be sent via the donate tab at the page and we will be accepting them at the house warming.

We are filling the pantry as well.  Bring a pound of sugar, a pound of coffee, a pound of get the idea.

We are also still in need of 4 night stands, several lamps, 4 small dressers, a flat screen television(not because we are fancy, it just has to hang on the wall), a bedroom suite and a queen size bed, box springs, frame and headboard.

I want to personally thank all of you for your desire to make a change in the lives of these women that have experienced trauma that many of us will never know or understand.  We are taking them from a life of rape, brutality and oppression and we will help them become whole once again.
