51 South Foundation is a non-profit organization that houses, educates, trains and redeems victims of sexual exploitation, sex trafficking and debt bondage.
what we do
We currently offer housing for 18+ females that have been affected by sexual exploitation, sex trafficking and labor trafficking or debt bondage. Our property is a serene place where our ladies can recuperate, relax and plan their futures.
On the job Training
With our business partners we are able to offer the ladies a chance to work in a safe environment while earning valuable experience they can use in the future.
Through years of torture, rape and abuse these survivors have many facets of their life that they need to work through. This takes time and an amazing group of volunteers that will build them up one day at a time.
Giving our survivors back pride, self worth and a feeling of safety is our only goal. All of the other pieces are in place to empower them into their future and a path to happiness. We equip them with the tools most of us take for granted. We give them the life they were born to live.
Our ladies are typically brought into the life at a young age and therefore do not have a formal education past early junior high. Through our volunteer teaching staff we can prepare them to pass their GED or provide them access to a high school degree.
Physical Well being
Through local health care providers, our ladies are evaluated for all manner of health and addiction problems. Typically under nourished, the Life doesn't allow for them to eat healthy.
After the first week we begin life and goal planning. We tailor the program to the survivors. Some will know what they want to be as they are now free. Others will take time to figure out what will make tomorrow great for them. All future planning and goal setting is designed to get them to a place of happiness.
